Services and Resources

The Institute will be launching its services and resources capabilities early in 2007.

These valuable resources will be exclusively available to paid-up Associate Members, Certified Members and Certified Fellows of the Institute.

Services will include :

Special Interest Forums
The Institute's Special Interest Forums will provide online communication to explore specific topics of interest to our members.
Forums will be able to be generated by members on topics of their choosing includeing management issues and techniques, discussion of technologies and vendors, interaction with executive, auditors and Boards.
Forums will selectively be made accessible to only the local chapter, or to remote chapters of the Institute as best suits the topic at hand.
Books and Articles
Book reviews and articles on topics relevant to the CIO.
Presentations
The Institute will build and maintain a resource library of presentation materials to enhance our member's ability to communicate underlying management disciplines, and the benefits thereof with their staff, and with their management and Boards.
Sample Role Descriptions The Institute will provide example CIO (and IT Management) Position Description / Role Description statements and relate these to a range of expectations a company may have from its Technology Leaders. This resource is intended to help companies understand the benefits they can expect from the various possible engagements with a CIO, the range of responsibilities which relate to that position, and the seniority they should seek when filling the role.

The Institute will foster links with like-minded organisations, and will provide links to allow members to find further information from a variety of specialists on particular topics. eg: advanced HR managemnt or financial management courses.

The Institute will foster links with provide organisations who deliver services relevant to the CIO.
It can be challenging and time consuming to source specialist advice at busy and high pressure moments. Ironically, it is this very advice that can assist you in resolving the issue at hand.
This directory will provide links to specialist firms, and individual practitioners within larger organisations who can help you to meet the broadest range of challenges you will face in your role as CIO.
