What is CPD?Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the means by which members of the International CIO Institute maintain, improve and broaden their knowledge and skills and develop the personal qualities required in their professional lives.The Institute has a requirement to participate in the Continuing Professional Development program in order to achieve and retain the status of Certified Member or Certified Fellow of the Institute. The Institute's Code of Professional Conduct requires that "Members shall take all reasonable steps to maintain their professional competence throughout their working lives." The CIO Institute of Australia's Continuing Professional Development ProgramsThe CIO Institute of Australia facilitates leading edge Continuing Professional Development (CPD) designed to the specific unique needs of the CIO role using the curriculum guidance as set from time to time by the International CIO Institute. The programs are designed to help the CIO in their mission to professionally achieve technology dependent business outcomes and to grow both their personal capability and the value of their contribution to their company.The Institute provides six half-day conference style business leadership sessions each year customised by the profession to the needs of senior technology management. Each session will explore a particular theme. Speakers and intensive workshop facilitators will include CEOs of Fortune 1000 companies, CIOs of Fortune 1000 companies, Innovators, your peers, specialist consultants, trainers and mentors advising senior executives on a variety of strategic, management and leadership issues.
