Or

  • Personal budget responsibility of over $20m

The validity of an endorsed position will be reviewed for compliance by the Admissions and Certifications Committee who are able to use some discretion to accommodate the many different corporate arrangements in which senior IT staff will be working.

The intention is to restrict membership of the Institute to professionals who carry a reasonable breadth of responsibilities, seniority, and ability to contribute to the management and strategic success of the IT function within their company, and whose existing career has exposed them to the range of executive management issues which are the focus of our development programs.

Whilst it is one of the core aims of the Institute to assist in the development of the profession, it is not considered beneficial to the majority of members to include people whose career to date has not exposed them to these issues. This will unfortunately result in excluding many enthusiastic people who are currently in more junior positions, small organisations, or narrow fields of responsibility within a large organisation. The Institute does not at this stage provide services to assist people at this early stage of their career development.
