| The Value of Certification |
|
Certified Membership (MICIOI) and Certified Fellowship (FICIOI) accreditations provide a recognition of those professionals who meet the consistent international standards as set by the profession itself through the International CIO Institute. Certification is the mechanism used across all major professions and specialist disciplines for endorsing an indiviual's standing within the profession. Employers, peers, colleagues and staff use this certification to evaluate the capacity of an individual based on the assessment of their peers where they may be unable to form an opinion themselves through lack of information or experience. The letters MICIOI and FICIOI after your name on your business card, and on your resume will have a real value to you and to the company who employs you. Accreditation will immediately provide recognition of your standing in everything from commercial negotiations to salary levels. Your employer increasingly seeks to meet and advertise objective quality standards by selecting senior executives who are recognised by their peers. Use of the Institute's certifications are a statement by you that you are engaged with the profession and prepared to live up to the increasingly visible and demanding leadership role of the CIO. It communicates that you have met, and through Continuing Professional Development, continue to meet the highest standards of your profession. Certification to the international standards set by the profession itself are key to the value the Institute can deliver to the CIO. |
